The Arsenal fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern had a fair few to pick from…
Our landlord recently set the Arsenal faithful here in the Tavern a task – he asked them to try and nail down all of Arsenal’s best goals to just three.
He wanted them to find the three goals that they feel are the best that have ever been scored by an Arsenal player.
Over the years, Arsenal have been blessed with some incredible players – many of which have scored some unbelievable goals.
It definitely wasn’t an easy task, but after several hours of painstaking research; they think they’ve found them.
So, do you agree? Are these the 3 best Arsenal goals of all-time?
Thierry Henry vs Manchester United

This one makes the list simply because of the technical brilliance that was required to make it happen.
Surrounded by defenders, Thierry Henry had no choice but to move the ball on quickly – but nobody was expecting this finish.
He flicked the ball up as quickly as it came to him, and seemingly in an instant it was in the back of the net.
No touch to compose himself, no 180-degree turn; just a deftly touch and an unbelievable finish.
What a goal. This one is frequently shared in the Football Transfer Tavern over on the Social Sofa…
Jack Wilshere vs Norwich

He might be spending his first year as a professional footballer away from Arsenal, but the Arsenal faithful here in the Tavern won’t ever forget let him forget this finish…
This goal is something that you would expect more from a Barcelona side rather than an Arsenal team – but that just makes the goal even better.
It is one of the best displays of Tiki Taka football the Premier League has ever seen, and was finished off nicely by the man that started the move – Jack Wilshere.
A couple of quick passes and tidy flicks – you can’t look away when you see this goal!
Easily one of the best finishes in recent years in the Premier League. Another Social Sofa favourite…
Dennis Bergkamp vs Newcastle

Even our landlord can’t disagree with this one. This goal consistently finishes near the top of everyone’s best ever Premier League goals list.
A drilled pass through to Dennis Bergkamp, a deftly flick behind the defender and it is in the back of the net.
What differentiates this goal from so many like it is that Bergkamp knew exactly what he was doing; he knew exactly where the ball was going to go and he knew that he was going to put it in the back of the net.
To this day, this goal remains an example of the purest form of technical brilliance that the Premier League has ever seen.
A goal that cemented a legacy.
