Great news for the Arsenal fans in the Football Transfer Tavern…
Jack Wilshere’s future has been a long debated topic in the Football Transfer Tavern, with the Arsenal fans in attendance divided on whether they think he will hang around long-term.
Many of the more optimistic fans have touted Wilshere as a future Arsenal captain, and thusly are expecting him to return to the Emirates at the end of the season.
However, some feel that this is wishful thinking – and many have described Wilshere’s Bournemouth loan as Wenger’s way of putting him in the shop window ahead of a possible sale.
Whichever side you fall upon, most Arsenal fans are in agreement that they want Wilshere to get back to his best and get back in into the Arsenal first team – and judging by this news from Arsene Wenger, that looks likely to be the case.
As per the Sun, Wenger has revealed that Wilshere will be offered a new deal at Arsenal that will see him return to the club at the end of his loan.
Wenger said: “We will offer him a new deal. When he is in top form we miss him.”
Our landlord is hoping that this news will put all of those rumours to bed. He feels that Wilshere is a fantastic player – and he thinks that the young Englishman is destined for a big role at Arsenal.
Wilshere has impressed for Bournemouth this season, and he is currently amongst his best run of games in years. He has already picked up 8 starts for the Cherries so far – which is far beyond the 1 that he made last season.
