His transfer business has been naive at best, stupid at worst Arsenal fans are looking gutted here in the Football Transfer Tavern after Metro claim they may NOT be spending big at all in the transfer market this winter.

Now as some of our regulars note, this will probably go down like a lead balloon with the majority of Arsenal fans.

Our resident Gunners had seemed desperate for January to come around, representing the ideal chance to actually add to their squad and more specifically, their defence which at the minute resembles soft cheese – sliced through far too easily!

Injuries have also been a massive issue for the Gunners but according to the Frenchman, as long as they can keep their players fit, making huge dips into transfer market won’t be for them.

Wenger rather plainly noted: “If everybody is fit then we don’t need to go into the transfer market.”

Now a couple of our regulars quip that considering Wenger’s players can never stay fit, there will not be much of a chance to avoid the transfer market!
