It’s fair to say for the Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern have been struggling to get fired up of late, with yet another season left in tatters following a poor run of results in the big games once more.
That, coupled with uncertainty surrounding the future of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil, have had our resident Gunners drowning their sorrows an awful lot of late, so reports from Bleacher Report have barely gone down as good news.
They claim top brass in north London are identifying potential long-term replacements for ‘keeper Petr Cech as his time at the top level reportedly begins to wind down. Signed from rivals Chelsea in the summer of 2015, the Czech legend finally gave Arsenal a reliable option between the posts, though it’s clear he can’t stick around forever.
According to their report, the Gunners are drawing up a list, though it’s not as if he’ll be out of the door so soon. Having only just really landed him, our locals are desperately hoping Cech has another few years left in him.
