Arsenal fans are looking a little bit confused here in the Football Transfer Tavern as the Daily Star seems to think that Mesut Ozil has been sharing some rather unwelcome opinions once again.

Given he is currently out with injury and was under fire for his poor performances before that, we are pretty sure that he needs to spend a little bit less time talking to the media and a little bit more time in the gym.

The German international midfielder claimed: “When you watch the games, we’ve dominated a lot of them but have conceded unnecessary goals.

“That can’t happen, because in the Premier League, every team is capable of beating one another.”

Ozil also spoke about the immediate future for the Gunners and seemed to hold out hope of a decent finish – for now at least. He added: “We have to get our points by playing the game our way. I’m convinced that we will finish the season near the top of the table.”

As our regulars note, Ozil is not exactly someone who we see staying at Arsenal for the long-term and given he is speaking out yet again about his team-mates, we are not exactly sure he will be welcomed back with open arms given his lack of work rate!
