According to The Daily Mail, Arsenal still do not know if they are going to get Alexis Sanchez to sign a new contract with our resident Gunners here in the Transfer Tavern getting increasingly concerned at the situation.
Fears over the Chilean’s future have grown recently after he was reportedly offered a staggering £400,000 a week deal to move to the Chinese Super League.
Whilst it’s highly unlikely he’ll be offered that to stay at Arsenal the feeling is he wants a substantial offer to stay with the Gunners past his current deal.
The former Barcelona man is the Emirates side’s top scorer this season and scored once again last night as the Gunners lost 2-1 to Everton at Goodison Park.
He’s been a leading star since he joined, though, and so, naturally, without any deal yet to be agreed many Arsenal fans here by the bar are worried he’ll be packing his bags before too long.
Our landlord reckons if he does the north London side will really struggle to replace him and could in fact see their title hopes for the near future completely vanish.
