Arsenal fans have been celebrating after German publication Kicker updated them on the latest news regarding Granit Xhaka’s potential move to Hertha Berlin.
According to Kicker, the £27m-rated, as per Transfermarkt, Switzerland international is close to finalising a deal to the Bundesliga side ahead of the January transfer window.
The publication are claiming that the player has been identified by the club as the ‘ideal solution ‘ for their defensive midfield role.
It seems the 27-year-old’s long-term future is away from the Emirates after he was involved in an infamous spat with supporters during the 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace.
Since the spat, he seemingly worked his way back to the first-team and started the club’s draw against Everton as the side kept their first clean sheet since the 1-0 win over Bournemouth. However, a Premier League depature still seems to be on the cards.
