Arsenal fans were celebrating after Unai Emery revealed some positive news about Emile Smith Rowe’s head injury suffered in the 5-0 win over Nottingham Forest.
Emery revealed that the youngster only suffered a concussion and that the injury is not a serious one (via Arsenal).
The 19-year-old received a bang to his head after a clash with Forest defender and captain Jack Robinson when he went for a header (via The Mirror).
Smith Rowe was making his second start of the season, after previously completing 60 minutes in the 3-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League last week (via Transfermarkt).
The injury won’t be good news for the youngster, who only recently fully recovered from groin and adductor problems which kept him out for three months of the 2018/2019 season.
After the positive update from the Arsenal manager, fans celebrated the news that Smith Rowe won’t be out for too long, though one fan described him as the next Jack Wilshere, which could be down to the sheer amount of games he missed during his time at the Emirates due to injury (as per Transfermarkt).
