Arsenal fans desperate to see Ramsey given a new contract and captaincy

Most Arsenal fans have been pleading with their club to hurry up and offer Aaron Ramsey a new contract at The Emirates. The Welshman is a real fan favourite at the club and Unai Emery admitted how much he liked the player in his press conference yesterday, prompting a number of fans to urge their gaffer to give him the captain’s armband.

Aaron Ramsey has been an Arsenal player for just over ten years after he signed for the club back in summer 2008. In that time the Welshman has had two loan spells and gone on to establish himself as one of the most influential players at the club. His goals from midfield and ability to change a game have made him one of the best in his position in the Premier League and with a Transfermarkt valuation of £40.5 million, he really is a star.

At the age of 27, Ramsey is hitting his peak and starting to find his best form. Last season he scored a superb hat-trick against Everton in the club’s 5-1 win over the Toffees and this season promises more goals for the three-time FA Cup winner as he looks to kick on in his career under Unai Emery. If Ramsey can add more goals and assists to his game from midfield then he can truly establish himself as one of the greats for the club and if he is to be given captaincy then the fans will be very happy.
