Some Arsenal fans have voiced their excitement after the club were linked with a move for Barcelona’s Marc Cucurella, with one supporter praising the ‘workaholic’ as ‘absolutely fantastic’.
According to COPE, the left-back has a €25m (roughly £21m) release clause in his contract at the Nou Camp, which the Gunners are interested in activating having monitored his performances this season. However, they are not the only side interested in making a move for the youngster, with Tottenham Hotspur one of a number of clubs eyeing up a potential transfer.
The player is currently on loan at fellow La Liga team Getafe, where he has enjoyed a brilliant season, averaging the second-most tackles and the second-most key passes per league game for the Spanish outfit. When compared to Arsenal’s squad, Cucurella has played 1.4 key passes per game, a number that would leave him in third place despite him being a defender, as per WhoScored.
