After a shaky start of the season, Bernd Leno is finally starting to look like the ‘keeper Arsenal fans expected to see.
Since joining from Bayer Leverkusen this summer for a reported fee of £20 million, the German has taken a while to get used to playing under Unai Emery’s style and having to deal with the mess Arsenal’s defenders can cause in some games.
But now heading into the business end of the season the 26-year-old shot-stopper has been one of the team’s best players in recent weeks and is proving to be a good summer addition for the club.
His heroics against Tottenham and Manchester United have seen the German be named Arsenal’s Player of the Month, and fans of the north London side took to Twitter to congratulate the player who has turned into a fan favourite in the past few weeks.
