Arsenal fans have been voicing their frustrations after the date for their FA Cup fourth-round tie away to Bournemouth was announced.
The Gunners revealed that Mikel Arteta’s side will face Eddie Howe’s men on Monday the 27th of January, the club’s second consecutive game at the beginning of the week in the competition.
However, it’s scheduling that ensures the north London giants get optimum rest between games as they face the Cherries six days after their midweek Premier League game away to Chelsea.
The game against the South-coast side will also be the sixth game of the calendar month, the side’s second-most in a 30/31 day period this campaign (via WhoScored).
Scheduling in English football was a hot topic during the festive period in December as Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp called for a fixture scheduling consensus (via BT Sport).
Fans weren’t too happy with the fact the game would be played on a Monday evening as they took to Twitter to react.
Here is a selection of tweets from the north London faithful:

Was this really necessary to schedule on a Monday? Didn’t you argue against?

So fans attending live can go straight to hell right?

Why the hell are we getting Monday fixtures all the time?

How do you let them get away with this.
Why on earth would we be back to back Monday night fixtures in the cup?
How are we meant to get home?
Absolute shambles
