Arsenal’s 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace will have been disappointing for fans after they saw their team recently outplay Manchester United. One player who’s been singled out for criticism over his recent form is Alexandre Lacazette, who played 92 minutes before being replaced by Reiss Nelson.
The Frenchman has scored just five goals so far this Premier league season (via WhoScored) and has contributed a mere two assists from 15 appearances. He was rated 7/10 by Football London for his showing against Palace, but they did note how he “could have been more greedy in the final third”.
Lots of Arsenal fans clearly agree and believe he should be scoring more for the club. One fan posted a video compilation of some of his worst moments for the club and jokily said “the new Henry?”. Another claimed ex-Gunner Olivier Giroud was better during his time at the Emirates. Indeed, many fans replied to express just how disappointed they are with the way he’s been playing.
