Our Arsenal fans are really in dire straits here in the Transfer Tavern after what happened yet again to their club last night.
After going into the Champions League 2nd leg against Bayern Munich 5-1 down many were expecting them to at least have a go and perhaps restore some pride.
Indeed, in the first half they duly did as Theo Walcott gave them a 1-0 lead with plenty of other chances to cut the deficit further.
All hope was soon dashed, though, when Laurent Koscielny was sent off and gave away a penalty from which point the Gunners capitulated.
Again, they ended up losing 5-1 against the German side – 10-2 on aggregate – and the Bundesliga champs were quick to point that scoreline out on Twitter at Arsenal’s expense:

Arsenal fans were quick to respond, though, and had plenty to say about the supposed lack of class from the club:
