Arsenal fans are less than pleased with Paul Merson after the former Gunner and Sky Sports pundit compared Unai Emery to Arsene Wenger.
The 51-year-old said that the Spaniard has his current Arsenal team playing with the same spirit as his predecessor.
Merson’s reason for comparing the two managers and their time at the Emirates Stadium was due to how open Arsenal were at the back.
Emery took over from Wenger during the summer of 2018 after the Frenchman ended his Arsenal contract early (via BBC).
The Arsenal boss endured a frustrating debut campaign with the north London giants, missing out on the top four by one point and losing heavily in the Europa League final to Chelsea.
Fans seemed to be furious with the comparison of the two managers, as they took to Twitter to unleash fury on the Englishman.
