It’s fair to say that some players are enjoying life under Mikel Arteta more so than they were under former head coach Unai Emery. Mesut Ozil came out and highlighted the differences between the two coaches and now Alexandre Lacazette has joined the playmaker in singing the praises of the former Manchester City assistant coach.
In an interview at the club’s training camp in Dubai, the Frenchman seemed to aim a dig at Emery, claiming that the team are more ‘together’ under the 37-year-old. He also went on to claim the tactics are better under Arteta than they were with Emery (via Sky Sports).
The £63m-rated striker (as per Transfermarkt) has struggled under both managers and has failed to score a single goal under the former Manchester City assistant coach. However, he still seemingly retains the support of the Spaniard and has started in every single Premier League game since Arteta arrived at the club. However, some fans aren’t too fond of the 28-year-old as they took to Twitter to lambaste him. Here are some of the responses:
