Arsenal: Fans hit out at Alexandre Lacazette after performance in draw against Bournemouth

Arsenal fans have been hitting out at Alexandre Lacazette after the forward’s performance in the draw away to Bournemouth.

The France international seemed to be way off the pace of the game, having four shots on goal with not a single one of them hitting the target (via WhoScored).

Twice in the game, Lacazette was played through on goal and failed to provide the necessary finish.

The first occasion was in the first-half as Mesut Ozil’s defence-splitting pass saw the Frenchman bear down on goal, only for him to blast it over the bar.

In the second half, the ball broke to him and his delayed shot ended up getting deflected behind for a corner after a brilliant tackle by a Cherries defender.

Fans seemed to be fed up with the forward, who has only scored six goals this season, as they took to Twitter to react to his performance.

Positives are the displays from Xhaka, Torreira and Ozil for parts. Good to see Aubameyang back on the scoresheet again. But I felt Lacazette was quite underwhelming. A day to learn from for our Hale end kids.
