News surrounding Mustafi follows Arsenal’s bid to sign Chelsea defender David Luiz, who is said to be on the verge of completing a move to north London.
Arsenal have made four signings so far this summer, with Nicolas Pepe the biggest addition at a whopping £72m.
Dani Ceballos, William Saliba and Gabriel Martinelli have also been among the players to move to north London this summer.
Arsenal open their Premier League campaign away to Steve Bruce’s Newcastle United this Sunday.
Fans couldn’t hide their joy at the news surrounding Mustafi and took to Twitter to celebrate, with one supporter describing the development as being better than signing Celtic’s Kieran Tierney.
