Arsenal fans have been lashing out at Raul Sanllehi after reports from The Athletic emerged about Cedric Soares’ move to north London emerged.
According to David Ornstein, Southampton expected the right-back to move to a lower level or a team abroad and would even have let him move for free before the Gunners moved for the Portugal international. The Saints believe that the north London outfit made a move for the 28-year-old due to the relationship between the defender and Arsenal as they saw no logic in the approach.
The Gooners seem to be in a perilous position after they saw Bukayo Saka pick up an injury in yesterday’s draw against Burnley. The third-choice left-back joins the likes of Sead Kolasinac, Kieran Tierney and Soares, who are already sidelined with fitness issues of their own.
