Arsenal fans have been lauding Matteo Guendouzi after a clip of the youngster in action for his country emerged on Twitter.
The clip shows the midfield player holding off one opposition player while dribbling past a couple more and then passing the ball to a teammate (via Twitter).
The France under-21 international was recently included in the shortlist for the Golden Boy award, which also featured Premier League stars Mason Mount, Phil Foden and Moise Kean. The prestigious award has previously been won by Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe (via Arsenal).
Guendouzi has been a pillar of consistency in the club’s midfield this season, starting in all eight league games, and possessing the second-best pass accuracy (via WhoScored).
His performances have been lauded by many, with pundit Darren Bent claiming it’s ‘scary’ that the player is only 20 years old (via Football Insider).
After watching the clip, fans took to Twitter to laud the young Frenchman for his show of skill, with one fan even going as far as stating he’s Arsenal club legend Patrick Vieira (391 appearances for the Gunners) in disguise.
Here is a selection of tweets from the north London faithful.

It is very important to not get carried away with him and let him grow. Having said that, the kid is already better than prime Zidane!
