Arsenal fans have been lauding Nicolas Pepe after the winger’s comments following the club’s 3-0 loss at home to Manchester City.
Following the defeat, Pepe went in front of the cameras and absolved interim head coach Freddie Ljungberg of any blame, instead, pointing the finger at himself and his teammates (RMC via GFFN).

The Gunners were soundly beaten yesterday afternoon as the reigning champions went 3-0 up in the first 40 minutes at the Emirates Stadium.
From a statistical point of view, the game does not make for pretty reading for the north London giants. The side only had one shot on target, which came after just 33 seconds of their clash yesterday (via Evening Standard)
After the game, Ljungberg hit out at the club’s senior executives as he pleaded with them to come to a decision with regards to a new manager (via The Guardian).
Fans were in agreement with their record signing as they took to Twitter to react to his comments.
Here is a selection of tweets from the north London faithful:
Love this. Pepe manning up to the task. Hopefully we can see him and the team get some support

100% spot on. Glad someone in the team has realised it.

I’ve heard nothing bad come out of Pépé so far, says the right thing all the time and comes across as a responsible, hard working player. He’ll come around, it’s just a matter of when
