Punters here in the Football Transfer Tavern seem to be finding this latest viral hilarious and we simply cannot blame them. Well; everyone but Arsenal fans that is.

Our resident Gooners seem to have taken a little bit of offence at the picture that we think illustrates their fan mentality perfectly.

The image includes new summer signing Danny Welbeck who has gotten off to a pretty decent start at the club.

Had that been Diego Costa for example we might understand Chelsea fans getting a little bit excited over clearly having a world class player on their books.

However, after Welbeck managed one ‘assist’ and a hat-trick, the Emirates Stadium faithful are considering that prestigious Ballon d’Or trophy for Welbeck – and we cannot help but scoff.

As Jose Mourinho said, Arsene Wenger’s mentality has a lot to be desired and it seems to have rubbed off on his fans to boot!
