Arsenal fans on Twitter still gutted that they lost Gnabry

Serge Gnabry is currently plying his trade in the Bundesliga with German giants Bayern Munich, and he looks like he could be the Bavarian’s next massive talent. However, just over two years ago the 23-year-old was flogged by Arsenal to Werder Bremen after an unsuccessful loan spell with West Bromwich Albion.

At the age of just 23, Gnabry has his whole career ahead of him and after gaining experience in the Premier League with both Arsenal and WBA, his move to Germany has seen him come to life. Getting game time at Werder Bremen, Hoffenheim and Bayern Munich has turned him into a terrific and dangerous winger, who could be a long-term replacement for the legendary Frank Ribery.

The French winger is still at the club and going strong at the age of 35, but he’s certainly near to retirement. When he does eventually hang up his boots the obvious man to replace him for the next however many years is the former Arsenal man. Gnabry has already scored four goals in the league for Bayern this season and he’s not struggling to get in the side at the moment, which makes the decision to let him leave Arsenal just over two years ago seem even stranger.
