Arsenal fans have been praising Eddie Nketiah after the striker scored a hat-trick in the England under-21s 5-1 win over their Austrian counterparts.
The goals against Austria’s under-21 side was his fourth of the international break after he also scored a penalty against Slovenia under-21s (via BBC).
Nketiah has found a starting place hard to come by in Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United side. The 20-year-old is battling with fellow forward Patrick Bamford, who last scored a goal for the Yorkshire side back in August in the club’s 3-0 win over Stoke City (via Transfermarkt).
According to former Leeds United man Danny Mills, Bielsa ‘clearly doesn’t trust’ the young forward. Mills believes that it could’ve been something to do with training, and also talked about how international football is different from Championship football (via Football Insider).
After Nketiah’s performance last night, Arsenal fans took to Twitter to laud their on-loan striker.
