Arsenal fans were remembering Jack Wilshere’s famous team goal against Norwich City back in 2013.
The Gunners – then managed by Arsene Wenger – scored a brilliant goal featuring a passing move between Santi Cazorla, Olivier Giroud and the England international. The goal was the first in a 4-1 win over the Canaries for the side.
Mesut Ozil, who scored a brace in the win, called the goal ‘unbelievable’ and described it ‘like his teammates were playing PlayStation’. Wenger was also complimentary of the goal as he labelled it as ‘one of the best Arsenal goals ever’.
The strike against the Norfolk side ended up winning goal of the season for the 2013/2014 season.
Wilshere’s strike isn’t the only team goal Arsenal have ever scored in recent memory.
Last season, Aubameyang finished off a brilliant team move against Leicester City, while Aaron Ramsey scored a brilliant goal against Fulham, with the Gabon international’s goal eventually winning the club’s goal of the season.
Fans took to Twitter as they reminisced over the strike from their former central midfielder.
Here is a selection of tweets from Gooners:
