Arsenal fans would do anything to get Olivier Giroud back

Last January, Chelsea were in the market for a target man and whilst almost every Arsenal fan resented the idea of letting their big Frenchman go, Olivier Giroud was sold to their London rivals. Yesterday was the striker’s birthday and when Arsenal took to Twitter to wish him a happy birthday, the Gunners were everywhere calling for him to come back.

Giroud won three FA Cups and three community shields in his time at The Emirates and he will always be looked back at fondly by the fans. He provided a lot of big moments for the fans and whilst he wasn’t always the one scoring the goals, he never failed to have an impact at the club that he will always be remembered for being a part of during his time in England.

The Frenchman left Montpellier for Arsenal in 2012 after winning the Ligue 1 title in Leicester City-type fashion and after he moved to London he didn’t take long to establish himself. The supporters may not have been on board with Giroud at the start of his Arsenal career, but by the end of it he’d become one of the most loved Arsenal players in the squad and the fans would do anything to see the big target man return to the club in the future.
