The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping for a bit of rest bite from the troubles at the Emirates against Lincoln in the FA Cup this weekend…
A game that the Gunners should comfortably be able to win, spirits are certainly low amongst the Arsenal fans in the pub – though most are confident that an upset will be avoided this weekend.
However, they may well have to do battle without a few of their important players – with the Mirror reporting that a sickness bug has overtaken a few of the players in the Gunners’ camp.
Alex Iwobi and Danny Welbeck are reportedly in a race against time to be well enough to play, with fears rising that the problems could worsen ahead of the game.
This has certainly come at a bad time for the Gunners.
Indeed, the problems are seriously piling up for Arsenal – with concerns reigning over Arsene Wenger and co. Defeat to Bayern Munich has really divided the Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern – and nothing less than a win will be expected against Lincoln in the FA Cup.
Arsenal have, of course, been in poor form lately – with only 1 Premier League win since the end of January. Our landlord is expecting them to bounce back against Lincoln, though, with Arsenal’s quality likely to shine through.
