Our Arsenal and Man City fans here in the Transfer Tavern are having very different feelings towards this season at the moment and it looks like they could come to blows during the summer.
Whilst the Gunners have embarked on their usual meltdown in recent weeks as they’ve nearly crashed out of Europe and have done the Premier League title race, the Citizens have been flying.
Indeed, Pep Guardiola’s men have been going great guns in recent times and could still win a trophy this season – surely making them the more attractive prospect in the summer.
We could see, then, that come into play with this latest transfer rumour as TF1 in France is claiming the two English clubs along with Dortmund and Atletico Madrid are keen on Alexandre Lacazette.
The Lyon forward has once again torn up Ligue 1 this season but many feel for him to reach that next, world-class step, he needs to join one of the biggest sides around.
He’ll want the club to be in with a chance of winning trophies, though, and so our landlord reckons he might just go for City.
