Arsenal have made an ideal start to their Premier League title defence, winning all three of their opening matches and conceding just once.
Mikel Arteta’s side have looked strong despite William Saliba missing through injury, while summer additions Christos Tzolis and Jamie Gittens have settled in well and Kai Havertz has returned to form.
Even with the squad performing impressively, Arsenal are seemingly already looking towards the future and continuing to monitor the next generation of talent.
Arsenal Actively Scouting Mateus Mané
Arsenal are maintaining an active scouting file on Wolves forward Mateus Mané as the 18-year-old continues to attract attention from some of the Premier League’s biggest clubs.
The Portugal-England dual international has emerged as one of the Championship’s most promising young attackers, having impressed at both club and youth international level.
According to Football 360, Arsenal have been tracking Mané alongside several of their domestic rivals, with Liverpool and Manchester United having already made direct contact regarding a possible move.
The youngster’s maturity has also caught the eye, with former Wolves boss Rob Edwards describing him as a “fearless” player and praising his leadership qualities despite his age.
Wolves are in no rush to sell, however, with Mané contracted until 2029 and regarded as an important part of their long-term plans. Previous reports have suggested the Championship club could demand somewhere between £35-£50 million for his services.
For Arsenal, the teenager represents another young attacking talent worth monitoring as Arteta continues to plan beyond the current campaign.
