It seems like talks between Arsenal and Roma for Henrik Mkhitaryan and Justin Kluivert are still ongoing following recent reports, with the Gunners prepared to offer the Dutch youngster a lucrative offer.
Arsenal have offered Kluivert a contract which is worth around £3.1m per season in a bid to sign the Roma winger, according to Calciomercato, and talks between both clubs began some time ago, with Arsenal now stepping up the negotiations.
The Gunners have offered Kluivert a four-year contract that will see the winger earn more than double his current salary, as per Calciomercato, and Roma would be happy for the player to leave for around £35m, although the Gunners could sweeten the deal by offering Mkhitaryan.
The Dutchman has averaged 1.9 shots, 1.1 key passes and 1.7 successful dribbles a game this season, per WhoScored, which highlights that he has a creative threat. Also, with the winger being only 21, he is raw and has bags of potential. He has scored four goals and supplied one assist in Serie A this season, which is maybe not the most eye-catching return, but his attacking statistics show that perhaps he has just been unlucky this season.
With Eddie Nketiah, Bukayo Saka, and Joe Willock being trusted to start for the Gunners against Manchester City last night, it looks like Mikel Arteta wants to build a squad around youth, and the deal would be perfect for both parties. Arsenal could be the perfect place for the winger to grow as a player, whilst Arteta gets to utilise the full potential of Kluivert.
