Indeed, you can understand why this feeling is going to stick around for a while after another harrowing week for the club’s supporters saw them crash out of Europe 10-2 on aggregate to Bayern Munich.
The players once again folded up against the odds and crumbled – put into greater light as Barcelona managed the unthinkable against PSG last night.
4-0 down from the first leg, the Catalans were going out of the competition with minutes to go until three late goals swung it in their favour in the most incredible fashion.
The footballing world was quick to react to the events, of course, with Arsenal legend Ian Wright just one of the names to express his praise, though you could argue there was a bit of irony given how poorly the Gunners performed:
