The Daily Star now offers some new fresh speculation to Arsenal supporters as the paper reports that Manchester City defender Micah Richards has emerged as possible Janauary transfer target for Arsene Wenger.
The news comes after the 25-year-old defender, who only has 18-month remaining on his current contract, admitted that he was considering his future at the Etihad Stadium after struggling for game time this term.
He is becoming increasingly frustrated with playing second fiddle to Pablo Zabaleta at City and could be set for a move away as he tries to land a last-minute place in Roy Hodgson’s England squad, something he could achieve playing regularly at Arsenal.
Richard is rated at £10 million by City and they are unlikely to want to lose the versatile defender, who can at right-back or in central defender, to one of the Premier League rivals.
However Wenger has been a long-term admirer and a possible bid could be in the pipeline for the full back, who is also being chased by Newcastle United.
