Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern have been discussing their chances of landing the Premier League title and seem intrigued towards the latest transfer reports.
The Sun state Arsenal are favourites to land Josh Windass, the son of former Hull City striker Dean Windass, for a measly sum of just £1m.
21-year-old Windass currently plays for Accrington Stanley but the midfielder is widely-tipped to make it at the big time, with Arsenal’s swoop encouraging for the player due to Arsene Wenger’s keen eye for young talent.
Windass would be unlikely to make an immediate impression in the first-team but would bolster an injury-plagued Gunners midfield, with Jack Wilshere, Aaron Ramsey, Mathieu Flamini and Mikel Arteta all suffering from problems recently.
Whilst the Arsenal fans in the bar welcome any exciting addition, they’re concerned that their side is not eying the correct targets- stating that this is not the sort of addition to improve their chances of Premier League glory and urging Wenger to secure a high-profile signing in this area.
Arsenal fans, how many players do you need to sign in January? Who do you want? Let us know in the comments below!
