Much was made of Arsenal’s clash against Bournemouth earlier this week, and whilst the majority of the attention was placed upon Arsenal’s remarkable comeback – an incident after the match certainly perked the ears of the Gunners in the Transfer Tavern.
Amidst the wild celebrations in the pub after the final whistle, one Arsenal player was seen throwing his gloves to the ground in anger – and that man was Alexis Sanchez.
Seemingly frustrated about failing to pick up 3 points, Sanchez did not look happy – and according to the Daily Mail, his anger did not dissipate behind the scenes either.
It is what the Daily Mail has gone on to report that is particularly concerning the Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern, though, with the publication noting that there is a genuine fear around the Emirates that Sanchez could now look to leave the club.
He was clearly frustrated, and his contractual situation has been long reported in the Transfer Tavern – leaving many to fear that this game could have been the final straw.
The Arsenal fans in attendance have been increasingly concerned about the future of Sanchez, and this has done nothing to ease their fears. Arsenal are a long way off Premier League supremacy, and for a player like Sanchez – only the best is good enough.
Our landlord certainly thinks that Arsene Wenger and Arsenal have a lot of work to do to ensure that Sanchez stays, with poor results and the club’s unwillingness to match his demands only going to worsen his situation.
Sanchez has been vital for Arsenal this season, contributing 13 goals 7 assists so far in the Premier League.
