Since his arrival in Scotland, Moussa Dembele has been on fire.
The Celtic frontman has bagged 6 league goals in just 5 appearances – and he is very quickly becoming a cult favourite in the Football Transfer Tavern.
The Arsenal fans in the Tavern are particularly big fans of the Frenchman – and they were delighted when they heard rumours that the Gunners might be keen on the talented starlet.
However, as per the Daily Mail – Arsene Wenger has received a blow in the pursuit of the in-demand forward.
The Daily Mail are reporting that Celtic are in no rush to cash in on Dembele, despite the ever-growing queue of clubs likely to be interested in the Frenchman.
As a result, it seems unlikely that a deal will be possible – at least in the short term.
This will come as a further blow to the Arsenal faithful in the Tavern, given further reports that a host of top La Liga and Bundesliga sides were keen on the forward’s signature – meaning Arsenal’s chance of signing him had already reduced.
Whilst Arsenal are seemingly desperate to land the striker; our landlord thinks that any deal looks, at this point, unlikely.
This has lead to a sombre atmosphere amongst the Arsenal fans in the Football Transfer Tavern.
