There has been a buoyant mood of enthusiasm amongst the Arsenal fans in the Football Transfer Tavern over the last few weeks, with news emerging that Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin is set to sign a new deal with the club.
However, amidst the excitement surrounding news of the impending deal; the young defender has suffered a blow – much to the disappointment of the Gunners in the Tavern.
According to AS (via the Sun), Bellerin sat out a training session on Tuesday whilst with the Spanish under-21 national team – and looks set to also miss their game on Friday.
This will come as a huge blow to the Arsenal fans in the Football Transfer Tavern, whom were looking forward to welcoming back their defender – hopefully with a brand new contract.
Our landlord thinks that Arsene Wenger will no doubt be concerned about Bellerin’s fitness; as it could mean that he is either not available, or almost certainly not at 100% for the Gunners’ Man Utd clash after the international break.
Arsenal have become heavily reliant upon Bellerin, whom has turned into one of Europe’s best right full-backs.
