Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are pleased to hear reports that one of their loanees could return imminently, believing he has plenty to offer the first-team.
The Telegraph declare Serge Gnabry is likely to be recalled from West Brom in January, with the two Premier League sides to revisit the player’s situation in December.
Germany U-21 international Gnabry has played just 12 minutes so far this season, with Tony Pulis stating the player isn’t ready for first-team football, a claim that hasn’t gone down well with the Arsenal supporters at the bar.
The 20-year-old would currently be useful in Arsenal’s injury-plagued squad, with right-side options Aaron Ramsey, Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain all sidelined until after November’s international break.
Arsenal now have Joel Campbell as the only senior option in the squad but the Costa Rican hasn’t impressed in North London, whilst Gnabry is rated extremely highly and has a wealth of experienced amongst the first-team.
Gooners at the bar fondly remember a situation two-years ago when Gnabry was pushing for a regular first-team berth, before being sidelined with a serious knee injury.
