Former Aston Villa defender Alan Hutton has tipped the club to sign Manchester United man Axel Tuanzebe in the January transfer window.
Tuanzebe spent last season on loan at Villa as they won the Championship play-off final and returned to the top flight.

The United man played 28 times for Villa last season [WhoScored] and despite missing three months with a broken foot, Tuanzebe formed a magnificent partnership with Tyrone Mings at the back, as highlighted by the Express & Star.
Hutton, who spent eight years with the Villans, shared the dressing room with Tuanzebe and has since become a big admirer of his and tips his former side to sign the centre-back.
“He’s very, very professional,” the ex-Scotland international told Football Insider. “That’s definitely how I’d say he was. Everything was football, whether it be how he ate, how he trained, constantly in the gym before and after – he was 100% professionalism.
“I’m surprised he’s not really had a chance as yet at Man U but I’m pretty sure that will come. Of course everybody wants to play and maybe that’s the situation he will look at and say: ‘right I need to continue playing.’
“I know Villa were very interested in him but Man U wanted to keep him, which is fair enough, he’s their player, it’s understandable but I think he’s definitely going to have a big future ahead of him.”
So far, Tuanzebe is yet to fully experience a real role at his parent club, making just eight appearances for United since his debut back in 2017 (via Transfermarkt) and Hutton believes his lack of game time may force Villa to move back in for the him.

When asked if he could be signed for Villa, Hutton replied: “Yes. I think it would be a great signing personally.
“He’s only going to add quality, like I said he’s going to want to play games in the Premier League and get tested that way. I think that would be a good level for him.”
Tuanzebe has worked his way through the famous youth ranks at United, but with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer yet to hand the academy graduate any game time this season, perhaps this is a transfer that could happen come January.
