Aston Villa fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are expecting to say farewell to their midfielder, as an Italian side pursue someone who would be allowed to leave Villa Park.
According to Sky Italia via talkSPORT, Fiorentina are looking to sign Aston Villa midfielder Carlos Sanchez on loan.
The Italian side have in the market all summer for a central midfielder and after heavy consideration it looks as though the 30-year-old is now their number one priority.
It’s being reported Villa would be open to offloading the midfielder and the Serie A side have already approached the club about a possible loan deal.
An issue that is yet to be resolved is Sanchez’s high wages and Fiorentina are hoping they can come to an agreement where Villa will continue to pay around half of his contract whilst he out on loan.
