Tyrone Mings proved to be the hero for Aston Villa on Sunday in their 2-2 draw with Manchester United after scoring an equaliser after the hour mark.
However, it was not all plain sailing for the 26-year-old who was arguably at fault for Tom Heaton’s own goal.
As highlighted by Birmingham Live, Mings failed to clear his lines before a short-corner routine resulted in United drawing themselves level, and fans were quick to let him know he was responsible for his side’s failure to go into half-time in the lead.
In the end, though, the England international managed to redeem himself when he made it 2-2 as the Villans went on to earn a point.
Next up for Dean Smith’s men is a trip to Stamford Bridge where they will be facing a Chelsea side eager to bounce back following their London derby defeat to West Ham.
Take a look at what Aston Villa fans were saying about Mings below…

Mings over elaborating with the ball, we have seen that too many times. #avfc

Mings yet again being too cocky. He had 3 or 4 opportunities to knock the ball long or hit the ball out for a throw in
