Loads of Aston Villa fans have been discussing on social media whether or not Callum O’Hare should be given a new contract by the club.
The 21-year-old is currently contracted to the West Midlands outfit until the end of this season and therefore could leave on a free transfer in just a few months time, although the Villans would be due a compensation fee.
According to Football Insider, Villa have already made one contract offer to the youngster but it was turned down, leaving his immediate future in doubt.
O’Hare has spent the 2019/20 season on loan with Coventry City where he has done pretty well, netting four goals and providing seven assists in all competitions from an advanced midfield position (Transfermarkt).
It seems that most of the Villa Park faithful want the playmaker to remain at the club and in response to a tweet from @AVFC_News many urged the club to agree fresh terms with him.
One fan even suggested that O’Hare could be a ‘ready made replacement’ for Jack Grealish, who has been linked with a move to Manchester United of late (Birmingham Mail) and therefore may not be around for much longer.
