Loads of Aston Villa fans have flooded Bjorn Engels’ Twitter post with positive messages following his return to the first team.
Prior to the 2-1 defeat to Bournemouth over the weekend, the 25-year-old had missed Villa’s last five fixtures. However, he was brought back into the fray for the trip to the Vitality in a development some supporters were glad to see.
In the end, it was a disappointing afternoon for Engels and his side, though individually he did manage to do himself some justice. After being brought on from the substitutes’ bench, the Belgian centre-half was able to win two aerial duels and register a pass success rate of 93% (via WhoScored). No player recorded a better percentage.
