A lot of football fans are praising Aston Villa after the club announced that all of the food that they prepared for this weekend’s fixture against Chelsea will go to homeless organisations and sheltered accommodation units through the Aston Villa Foundation.
Due to recent events, leagues across the globe have been suspended and, with clubs in England including the Premier League only finding this news out today, Villa had already prepared food for tomorrow’s fixture. It is a great gesture by the club, with them receiving praise across social media.
On the pitch, the club has had a very hard time, losing their last four in the league and also suffering heartbreak as they lost 2-1 in the Carabao Cup against Manchester City.
When the league resumes, the club will have only ten games to fight for survival, and the break will help players like John McGinn who has been missing from the first eleven for a couple of months after injury, given he’s returned to training.
