Aston Villa fans have identified their defensive solution as John Terry

Aston Villa are in a tough spot at the moment. They’re expected to be one of the teams challenging at the top of the table this season, and at present, they’re simply not. They made it to the play-off final last season, and though they were unsuccessful, they certainly proved throughout the season that they’re up to the task of making it back into the Premier League.

However, currently sat in 12th place, they’re a long way from the sort of form that will get them there. Steve Bruce has problems up and down the field, but he’s got particular issues in defence.

The Villains are really struggling to defend effectively, as evidenced by the 11 goals that they’ve let in throughout the last 6 league games.

Clearly, then, they need to find a solution to their problems at the back, and some Aston Villa fans online think that they’ve found the perfect solution in former player John Terry. Terry spent last season at the club, but having just rejected a move to sign for Spartak Moscow in Russia, Villa fans are hoping to see him move back to Villa Park.
