Loads of Aston Villa fans have been lauding Conor Hourihane following the three-year anniversary of his signing.
Yesterday made it three years at Villa Park, with the midfielder joining the Villans from Barnsley back in 2017. He helped them achieve promotion from the Championship to the Premier League last season and is continuing to make an impact in Dean Smith’s side.
From midfield, Hourihane has managed to score three goals and assist another two in English football’s top flight this term. He is also averaging 1.1 key passes per game, with only John McGinn (1.5) and Jack Grealish (2.6) managing to average more out of Villa’s entire crop of midfielders (via WhoScored).
Proving to be a threat from set-pieces (as highlighted by Bleacher Report’s Sam Tighe earlier on in the campaign) and an overall source of creativity for Smith, it is no surprise that one supporter dubbed the 28-year-old as a “magician” while another hailed him as an “unreal player”.
