Over the summer Aston Villa splashed out on a number of new signings. One of those was the Brazilian striker Wesley Moraes and it seems the former Club Brugge man is already endearing himself to the fans.

The big Brazilian had a tough ask against Tottenham on the weekend, being relied upon on the counter-attack to hold the ball up and bring the midfielders behind him into the game on the attack.
“He got a little bit tired towards the end of the game, but the amount of times he held the ball up for his team. I thought his work-rate was very good,” Jamie Redknapp said on Sky Sports (via HITC) when speaking about Wesley’s performance.
When the Villans return to Villa Park the chances are the striker will get another chance to show the fans what he can do, this time in front of his home fans. After seeing the striker bag 17 goals and ten assists last season, Transfermarkt, the fans are obviously excited to see what he’s about and are all expecting him to come good at Villa Park.
