Captain Jack Grealish will leave one hell of a hole in the heart’s of Aston Villa fans should he leave the club this summer. The 23-year-old midfielder has shown his loyalties to Villa before, but his stock hasn’t stopped rising and there are no guarantees the Villains will go up this season, although any side that wants Grealish will need to fork out £60 million.
Jack Grealish has a staggering £60million buy-out clause in his contract at Aston Villa. [@Neil_Moxley] #avfc

The talk of Grealish’s massive buyout clause has come from Neil Moxley of The Mirror, and it’s not hard to see why the higher-ups at Villa Park have been so keen to get a massive clause in their captain’s contract. Whilst Dean Smith will be desperate to deter any lurking clubs from swooping for the midfielder, it also means they’ll have a pretty penny to spend if Grealish is sold.
Given the Villain’s current run of form it’s hard to bet against them for the playoffs, but should they fail to get back to the Premier League and Jack Grealish remains in Birmingham he will be nearly 25-years-old at the earliest before kicking a ball in the top flight again. That’s a lot older than most with his talents have to wait, and with Spurs holding an interest, Grealish will need to think about his potential future as an England international as well as his club future.

He may or may not be worth £60 mill to some clubs but he’s priceless to us #AVFC

That’s cheap, I wouldn’t let him go for anything less that £80m, with a sell-on clause included

The fee was £35 million last summer he has since signed a 5 year contract & improved & matured as a player worth that amount easily

An excellent development (if true).
Nice to finally have some competency at board room level at Villa Park.#avfc #utv

The Villains hate to think about losing Grealish, but at least now they have the peace of mind that if he does go it will be at a massive financial gain to the club.
