Aston Villa fans have showered club captain Jack Grealish with praise despite his side being held to a 1-1 draw against Brighton on Saturday.
The Villans skipper came to the rescue once more as his side left the Amex Stadium with a point. Dean Smith’s side were going into the game on the back of a 6-1 home defeat to Manchester City. However, Villa battled back after going a goal down in the first half after the hosts took the lead as Leandro Trossard fired them in front. Grealish found himself unmarked from a Douglas Luiz crossed which he buried past Brighton’s Mathew Ryan, sending the visiting supporters into raptures.

The Holte End faithful were delighted with Grealish’s outing and it is easy to see why they were highly complimentary. SofaScore recorded that he managed to win eight out of his 13 individual duels and completed four successful dribbles, illustrating his work rate and eagerness to get his side something out of the game, which the fans appreciated greatly.
