Aston Villa made some very good acquisitions in the summer transfer window. One of these have been Ollie Watkins and many fans are loving him even more following his latest comments on the club.
Journalist for The Observer, Ashley Preece, reported the comments from the young attacker signalling just how much he has enjoyed his short time at Villa Park: “I didn’t realise how big the club is and how noticed I would be.”
Since arriving from Brentford, the Englishman has played in seven Premier League games. In these matches, he has six goals and one assist. He has managed on average 2.6 shots, 1.3 key passes and 1.6 successful dribbles (WhoScored).
His former manager Thomas Frank said: “All the praise to Ollie – he’s done amazing. He’s a pleasure to work with in terms of his determination, his desire.”
With these comments from Watkins, combined with his stats this season and the fact that he is only 24, it seems Villa could have a real Premier League gem on their hands.
