Many Aston Villa fans have reacted to a latest transfer report claiming the club are looking to make a £6m bid for Reading midfielder John Swift.
After securing their top-flight status, Villa boss Dean Smith will undoubtedly look to improve his squad options ahead of the new season.
One player linked with a potential move to Villa Park is Swift with Reading Chronicle suggesting that he could be a potential replacement for Jack Grealish who has been linked with a departure in the past.
The 25-year-old Portsmouth born midfielder proved to be a key player for Reading last season, netting six goals and gaining 10 assists in 41 Championship appearances.
Valued at £3.6m by Transfermarkt, a fresh report has claimed Villa could make a move in the region of £6m.
Reacting to the latest transfer report linking Swift with a move to Villa Park, fans reacted via Twitter account @AVFC_News. Whilst some seemed to consider this potential signing a good one, due to his numbers last term, others were a little underwhelmed – perhaps due to the fact he has made just one Premier League appearance in his career.
